Please help a displaced single mother & 3 children after severe flash flood & hail storm ruined their Austin, TX home

On May 28th, a severe storm impacted Austin, Texas, causing extensive damage including flash flooding, hail, and high winds. The storm caused an icy river of hail from the surrounding neighborhood to build up multiple feet high and flood my friend Kara Hummel’s home of 17 years.

Kara, a single mother, and her three young boys have been displaced since the storm made their home unlivable. They lost power and their home and much of what was inside was ruined.

They have been moving from place to place on a shoestring budget, and so far, unfortunately, insurance won’t cover any damages or anything they've lost.

Kara is shining light in the community, always there to lift others up. Let’s help Kara and her boys in their time of need. Any little bit will help them with the costs of being displaced, hopefully be able to afford a safe and stable place to stay while their home is repaired, and with replacing what they’ve lost.
