Kaleb Hayslett, 24, was born with a congenital heart defect and has spent his entire life defying the odds, outliving expectations, and pushing through challenge after challenge.

On Monday, July 21st, 2025, Kaleb underwent a critical heart valve replacement surgery. During the procedure, complications arose, and doctors suspected he had suffered a stroke. Unfortunately, while in the hospital, Kaleb was not treated within the crucial window for stroke care, a devastating oversight that has added significant uncertainty to his recovery process.

As of today, July 23rd, there is no clear timetable for Kaleb’s recovery. Right now, we simply don’t know how long Kaleb will be in the hospital or what the road ahead will hold. But what we do know is that he’s still fighting and he’s not doing it alone. His parents, Michael and Stephanie Hayslett, have had to step away from work and normal life to be by his side during this incredibly difficult time.

Kaleb is a beloved son, a big brother, and a bright light in the lives of everyone who knows him. He is funny, sharp, stubborn in the best way, and full of life. He’s deeply loved by his family, friends, and everyone lucky enough to know him, and right now, he needs all the love and support we can give.
