Hi, we’re Alex and Kaitlin, and we’ve been happily married for nine years. We have a wonderful 7-year-old daughter, Amelia, and as a family, we love camping, sports, and spending time together.

Recently, our world was turned upside down when Kaitlin was diagnosed with acute liver failure. After 18 days of uncertainty and hope, we were blessed with a donor organ, giving Kaitlin a second chance at life. Now, we have begun the long and challenging road to recovery.

Kaitlin has been hospitalized at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha for the past 26 days. She will need to remain in Omaha for at least another 4-6 weeks as she continues receiving critical care and medications. Once she is finally able to return home, she will require around-the-clock care to help her regain strength.

Throughout this journey, we have been overwhelmed by the love, prayers, and support from friends, family, and even strangers. Your kind messages have given us the strength and resolve to keep pushing forward. We are also incredibly grateful to our employers for their understanding and generosity during this difficult time.

As we navigate this new reality, we are reaching out for support to help cover medical expenses, travel costs, and the care Kaitlin will need in the coming months. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to our family.
