Aid Kailey Weller in Her Time of Grief
Donation protected
Hi, this is a go fund me for my best friend Kailey Weller.
Last summer, she experienced what she thought was going to be the biggest, most shocking loss of her life when she found her little sister after her suicide. Unfortunately, she was wrong. This week, the grief of losing a child was too much for her dad and he chose to end his life as well thus putting Kailey through a second close family suicide.
Her dad has been a huge part of her support system after losing her sister. She managed to find the strength to go back to school last fall and he was always encouraging her to succeed, and, more importantly, helping her ease back into living a normal life. As the months passed, she started taking on more responsibilities and focus on bettering herself by doing things she felt would make her sister proud. By August this year, she had a full time school schedule, full time work schedule, and an apartment with her best friend (me). Her life was finally starting to feel normal again, or as normal as it can feel after such a loss.
This has been shocking for her entire family, and especially hard for her and her mom Cheryl. As her fathers only remaining remaining daughter she is seen as the next of kin meaning she has been forced into taking on the responsibility of closing bank accounts, fixing up his house and selling it, dealing with debts, losing health insurance, taking care of his dog Roxy, and so much more on top of the emotional side of losing a father.
After seeing my best friend struggle with the anxiety of finances due to the sudden loss of two beloved family members, it has become clear that it is too much for one person to handle alone. If you can please consider donating any amount to help relieve some of the burden she is going through, so that she is able to focus more on grieving rather than the finances behind this trying time, her and her family would greatly appreciate it. Kailey would like to also stress that if you or someone you love is struggling please speak up. She never wants anyone else to have to go through the pain of being blind sided like she was twice. Thank you all for the love and support that she desperately needs during this time.
