My name is Dan and I’m looking for any help people may be so inclined to offer. My eldest dog Jzenka underwent emergency surgery on Monday morning May 5th. She had stopped eating the previous weekend and took her in Sunday afternoon. We spent 7 hours together at the vet and left her there for surgery Monday morning. She just returned home last night and has a couple weeks of recovery ahead. They had to take her uterus, her spleen and decided to proactively staple her stomach to prevent future bloat risk given the amount of mass that was removed from her body. She’s in good spirits and being stubborn as ever refusing meds and wanting to work.
Things like this never come at a good time, but it’s an especially bad time. While I am still working full time I am struggling to survive. I’m 2 months behind on rent, currently in credit counseling over debt I accrued trying to rob Peter to pay Paul the last few years as I do not make enough at work to cover my minimum bills. So needless to say I had to borrow money from friends and throw everything I could scrounge into this. She’s worth every penny and I’d do it again in a heartbeat for her. I’d like to get these people paid back as soon as I can- so if you are willing and able to help at all- would be most appreciated. She’s a wonderful dog and even though I only took her in as a rescue 3 years ago she’s my whole heart. I love her so much. The reason the ask amount is higher than the attached bill from the surgery is because I’m also trying to biopsy two masses she had that may be cancerous. One on her spleen and one on her ovary. That’s another $720 plus there will be a follow up appointment in a couple of weeks as well. Thank you all very much for reading a little about my sweet girl and this tough situation!
