I'm Julia. I'm a nurse from North Carolina and I have been struggling with Intracranial Hypertension caused by compression of the jugular veins in my neck on both sides. This causes blood to back up into my brain causing severe headaches, blurred vision, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, whooshing in my ears, and brain fog. My symptoms are so debilitating that I've been unable to work since the beginning of July. I have seen a neurosurgeon at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem and I am going to get stents placed in each jugular vein, starting with the right side on October 15th. I will have to fully recover from both procedures and be feeling well before I can be cleared to return to work as a RN. I would appreciate any support to help cover my expenses while I continue to be without income until I return to working as a nurse.
