Aid Judah in Finding Stability and Security

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Judah, I am a transgender black queer man. I am currently living in a Domestic Violence/SA emergency shelter
and in need of financial
help. To give context, on Sunday night of June 23rd, a tenant who
was living in the same house AND a client of the same program I am in, had intruded into my bedroom, uninvited and unannounced, and had raped me. While the assault was happening, he made comments and was asking me “If I was a boy or a girl”, “No you’re a girl”, “I am so happy that a girl is living in the house now”, and more blatant transphobic comments. He had also admitted to stalking me, even though I had rarely seen him both in the house and outside of it. He continued to make comments about my body, how I walked, where do I walk to when I leave the house, and if I go out to have sex with people. While assaulting me, he also had said to not tell anyone, to not tell the landlords, or the program we both are a part of, the program being a dual diagnosis for mental health and/or substance abuse for those in need of it. I don’t not wish to disclose the program’s name to prevent doxxing. He also had admitted that it was his birthday as well. There was a lot more but I do not wish to expand because of how traumatizing the unfortunate event was. In the end, he then proceeded to turn on my big light, ask if he could have something to drink, and still lingered in my bedroom.

The following morning on Monday June, 24th I had gone to the emergency room to do a rape kit, STD/HIV testing, and to be treated just in case, since I do not know his status because I genuinely do not know him on a personal level. I had stayed in the hospital from around 11:30AM to 10:17PM. My high school friend had picked me up and brought me over her house for my safety. Luckily while I was in the hospital I had met with a SA caseworker and she had helped refer me to getting into the shelter. As of June 27th, I have been in the shelter. There has been no update as to housing for I wish to no longer be in this city, even though I had advocated for myself to not move back here to begin with months prior.

I had gone to the police station and met with a detective on June 26th who had advised me to go to the courthouse first to get an emergency restraining order in which the judge had granted because of the severity of the situation. I then had returned to the station on the 1st of July and spent over an hour giving my statement to both the detectives. I haven’t heard about any progress as of now about the investigation. I have reached out to organizations that can help me find an attorney to help me to see if I have a case both against my rapist and from the negligence of said program.

I am asking for help for I do not know how long I may be in this shelter for. Luckily there is no time limit for how long I can stay here, which is helpful for me to focus on my needs and finding the resources I need for housing. I don’t have much clothing or hygiene products and have certain bills needing to be paid. I do take the city bus transit, but there are times where I need to Uber. This money is SOLELY to help me for the time being. I have set the donation goal low and putting the donation protection for my anxieties of doing another one of these and for the public.

Thank you for your time to read my story and thank you for any form of support. I have attached the hospital discharge paperwork and some screenshots of texts from the detective and when I tweeted on my private account when the assault freshly happened as proof of the matter.
