In the middle of 2024, Juan Harmon began his ongoing battle with lung and brain cancer. Loving husband, father of seven, grandfather of nine, and proud U.S. Army veteran, Juan has lived a long and blessed life, but he still has so much more to experience. He started his fight against cancer in Spain with radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and he responded well! However, after several months, Juan ran out of treatment options in Spain for the cancer in his right lung. Never one to give up, Juan and his wife, Indra, traveled all the way to Houston to receive treatment and surgery from a specialized thoracic surgeon and oncologist! Juan underwent lung surgery to remove the primary tumor and, unfortunately, experienced several dangerous complications. These complications have extended Juan and Indra’s stay in Houston, far from family and friends. Right now, they aren’t sure exactly when they will get to go home.

As Juan continues fighting and begins his long road to recovery, the cost of staying in Houston is daunting. Juan and Indra are currently dealing with the rising costs of housing, food, transportation, and flights. If you’re able, we're asking for help easing the financial stress of staying in Houston.
