Aid Josie's Path to Recovery

Hello, my name is Haley Bowling. Our little Josie is going through quite the rough patch in her first few years of life. Please, if you have anything to give for medical bill purposes, we very much need the help. We bought our home in 2024 after searching for 3 years; unfortunately, with that comes a large mortgage payment, not to mention school tuition due soon for the upcoming year, monthly bills, and now medical debt. We are drowning. Any small amount will be huge for us. Thank you for taking your time to read Josie’s story.

Friday, we were rushed to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. Josie was very anemic and had been refusing solids, purées, anything. She has since received two blood transfusions, and we are working on getting her tummy to accept formula and eventually solids. Her iron levels are perfect, but her folate levels are very low. B12 and formula are being fed to her through a feeding tube in hopes of raising her folate levels. When we arrived at the hospital, Josie was barely moving - no strength. Now she is rolling on her side and her back, and she has pink in her cheeks and her lips. Blessings come in all sizes. Every doctor in this hospital has come to see Josie, all working together to try to figure out what is wrong. We will more than likely be here for a week or two. I refuse to be released until Josie is eating solid foods. Please send us all the good vibes and prayers! We really need them. I have never been more scared for my baby’s life than I was on Friday. I wish it upon no one. We are far from being in the clear.
