There is a reason behind “dressing for the slide, not the ride”. Yesterday on June 6th I got one of the worst calls as a mom. Korena yelling and crying “they almost killed him mom.”

Korena and Jon were driving to work. Korena in her car behind him on her bike. Someone decided to not pay attention that there was a bike and took him out on his right side in to the wall and another car and then fled the scene. Thank god for his helmet or we would be dealing with a funeral to be honest.

Jon is dealing with it well and trying to manage his pain. He is in the hospital with some internal injuries and working with his medical team. There is Minimal road rash thankful to his gear and some stitches.

Korena is a trooper of a wife and hasn’t left his side. She has been able to get support from their military family with being so far away from both of their families in Florida and Ohio.

Anyone who knows these two know they are hard head and would never ask for help. We have created this to help with parking, food and anything else they will need over the next few weeks and months.

Jon will have a long road with recovery. There is a bunch of hoops to jump through with this being a hit and run. Korena needs to get her bike from impound yet because they would not release it to their friends.

Please keep them both in your prayers over the next few days, weeks and months because this will be a slow healing process.
