Help John G Cisco Family w Immediate Funerary, Housing Costs

December 6, 2025:
My father Dr John Cisco has passed in his sleep after years of intensive hospitilization and home care/hospice. As his oldest son and unpaid caretaker, we have an immediate need for help with funerary costs of 6 thousand dollars. We also had recently adjusted the mortgage under my Father's name and will have surrogate/probate costs. Along with the monumental loss of our last parent, Ive also just had my NJ medicaid health insurance purged without cause and we will be losing social security payments and a survivors pension that allowed us to take care of my father and live meagerly in our family home. After this immediate need for help, I look forward to getting back into the (paid) workforce and processing and healing over time. We were and very close family and would sincerely appreciate any help that is available.

January, 2025:I'm John. I'm trying to keep my father, John, in home hospice with family and familiar surroundings. Recurring setbacks in rehab and drained savings from extended medical care have left us without means to keep the lights/heat on, pay inflated mortgage and grocery costs, including keeping our 14-year-old Sookie fed and healthy. Every plan set in place has been wrecked by unbelievable circumstances. Like now, for example, we have zeroed out finances and need help to survive winter; just as the holidays are in full swing. My dog is an angel, my father helped people for decades as a psychologist and didn't charge enough to pace inflation. My mother was a saint who cared for the uncared, volunteered all the time, and gave everything to raise my family and make a wonderful safe home. Mom battled ovarian cancer without shedding tears, and when it seemed like victory was weeks away, she developed a mysterious ailment around Xmas 2020. Not long after, she then died alone and secluded in Kessler rehab during the first weeks of COVID. I have given up everything I was, and had, to do my best by them. I plan to continue. I have a brother who has major health issues stemming from severe and repeated college football brain trauma living at home as well. Our plan to use equity from our house and refinance was recently dashed when we were told that the necessary tax paperwork to rectify the last 2 years' returns was lost by the accountant.

I'll be applying for Medicaid support now. That will take a while, and we have overdue bills and lack of funds for food, medical supplies, and doggy treats/vet care.

Hope there are sympathetic eyes reading this. We are beyond in trouble.

Thank you for reading. I wish you all the happiest of holidays and the cherishing of special time with loved ones.
