Aid Johnny's Recovery from ENS and Mental Health Struggles

Donation protected

My husband Johnny was recently diagnosed with a rare nasal condition coined "empty nose syndrome" or ENS and trigeminal neuralgia after months of suffering with extreme nerve pain, breathing difficulties following two botched nasal surgeries. For the diagnosis, we had to travel to Houston, and future travel will be required to California or Europe for experimental treatments. There is currently no cure and no doctors that treat it on the east coast.

The whole experience has caused has permanently disabled him, leaving him unable to work and dealing with depression.

His recovery has been slow, and his quality of life has been severely reduced. The first part of his recovery is dealing with the depression and trauma brought on the 3 surgeries in less than a year, including a emergency gallbladder removal in late 2023. His first step is attending an intensive therapy program, and learning to live with this awful condition, as well as research to find doctors and treatments. The extensive medical bills, legal fees and financial stresses are adding up slowing his recovery.

Johnny is only 28, an army veteran and the type of person who never asks others for help, but is always there to help others at a moments notice. His passion has always been cars and he attends classic car shows all summer with his mustang car club, which donates all its proceeds to the children's hospital of CT.

His journey is long, and his mental health battle has just started. Any donations help. Even just sharing this makes an impact.

Donations will go directly towards:

Medical expenses: Covering costs of surgeries, experimental procedures, and travel to faraway doctors.

Mental health rehabilitation expenses: He will be attending an intensive outpatient program that insurance only covers part of, which is essential for his independence and getting back to a normal life.

Thank you all for your prayers, any help you can provide, and positive messages. We are so grateful.
