Help with John Liles' long Recovery

Update 10/14/2024

John is very sick today with a stomach bug. He is having his good days and bad days. He did need a quadruple bypass but unfortunately they were able to only do a triple bypass. He is having bilateral lower leg swelling because he is retaining a lot of excess fluid. He said he is tried and worn out. Thank you all.

Lord please help us in his need for strength to get through this. Lord I ask if you could bless us with help far our journey road to recovery seems to be a long road ahead. The financial struggle stress is REAL. Lord please help on the financial struggle a well. Thank you lord for all the blessing you have blessed us with already.

He started cardiac rehab yesterday and it was very tough physically and mentally on him. He has lived his life dedicated to his health they working out because that also helped his mindset. He’s really missing the gym. Thank you all

update 09/26/24

the last 2 days have been rough. I went back to work yesterday. When I got home he was in severe pain and his breathing was very rapid. We have a surgeon appointment this afternoon. Please keep the prayers coming. He still needs them.

update 09/23/2024

John is at the point where he dislikes morning time and bed time. Everything is a very hard chore for what he is able to do. He doesn’t like having to be in the house so much. Keep the prayers coming please and thank you

I'm Shirley Crisp Liles , and my husband, John Liles, had a heart attack and underwent a triple bypass on 09/11/2024. He has a long road to recovery.

UPDATE 09/22/24

pull a muscle in his shoulder so he got down in the dumps for a bit. This evening we did take a walk outside. Thank you

We have to buy some medical equipment for when he comes home, and he is going to need some help. If you feel the need to help, we would greatly appreciate it.

UPDATE:

the tubes have been removed..

he said it was very painful.

he still has a catheter in his neck.

update 09/16

John is home!!!

he is in a lot of pain, he is very tired and weak..he will have cardiac rehabilitation 3 times a week for 6-8 weeks. He also will have weekly dr appointment with 2 Dr for the first month.

he will not be able to drive for at least 6weeks.

I will have to take off work to get me to the dr since he isn’t able to drive.

update 9/17

John is up walking for short distance he gets winded easily. Pain seems to be possible letting up for a few minutes more each day. He still isn’t able to be over to pick up anything including his underwear. The day to day things that he does for himself is what he is going to struggle with while I’m at work.. thank you and please keep the prayers..

Update 09/18

1st cardiologist appointment

for the most part went well, he still has to stay sitting or walking no lifting, pulling, pushing , bending. He still has a lot of pain and shortness of breath.

UPDATE 09/19

today he had a pop feeling in his back below his shoulder blade. He isn’t feeling so good..keep the prayers. I took off work today because he can’t take care of himself yet…
