Aid John in Caring for Beloved Cat MayMay
Donation protected
John’s cat, MayMay, who he loves dearly, is currently ill. MayMay has had a history of urinary issues; it appears that she is struggling with this once again, and it is severe. Because John is retired and lives on a tight budget, we ask for support toward MayMay's medical costs. In calling around and speaking to several veterinarians, we estimated that the initial visit would be at least $350, and there would likely be a follow-up visit a week or two after the initial visit.
This is an estimation based on MayMay’s medical history of UI’s. If she is given a different diagnosis, we will tackle the medical costs at that time by increasing the goal within this fundraising campaign. If any funds remain after MayMay’s treatment, they will be used for future vet visits for her.
John Roake (AKA “Broadway John”) is a bit of a legend in the Broadway community. Anyone with a business on Broadway or frequents the area likely knows John and the kindness and volunteer efforts he has put forth to support our community.
On any given day, you can find John walking down Broadway, picking up trash, saying hello to everyone he passes, and offering to help the local business owners with maintenance, errands, etc. He does this selflessly for no other reason than to help others and his community, inspiring us all with his dedication.
When I introduce John to others, I always say, “John is the all-star volunteer of Broadway.” This is not an exaggeration, as he has won awards at the city and state levels for his outstanding contributions. John has volunteered thousands of hours to help upkeep the Broadway District at countless farmer markets and other events.
Given John's kindness and support to so many people in the community, we ask that you please pay that kindness forward….
Please find it in your heart to help John and May May; any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
