Aid John and Eva's Family in Hurricane Recovery
Donation protected
My brother John Splaine and his young family have been devastated by the effects of Hurricane Helene. They live in a remote area outside of Burnsville, North Carolina, about an hour north of Asheville. This was one of the hardest-hit areas in the region. John, his wife Eva, and their two young girls were not injured, and their house is intact. For that, we are forever grateful. However, the infrastructure around their property, including the access roads and bridges, was completely destroyed. At this time, he remains without power, and access to his property is limited. The road he lives on has only been cleared enough to travel by foot or ATV. We foresee this being the scenario potentially for weeks, which is scary and daunting. Given this, we are unsure if they will be able to remain in their home, although that is their hope.
John and Eva have a long road ahead to repair their lives. They are passionate, hardworking, and tenacious people who will give all they can for their girls, Fern and Frances, to reach a life of normalcy again.
Myself, along with my sister and parents, are on a mission to support them through this catastrophe. Unfortunately, none of us live geographically close enough to physically help as quickly as we’d like. I live in Montana, my sister is in Idaho and our parents live in Georgia. Instead, we are working from afar, doing anything we can to assist. We are fundraising in order to aid John in acquiring as many supplies and basic necessities as possible, in order to support them remaining in their home. In addition, we see these funds helping them cover loans or bills that may accumulate during this time.
Any amount will help the cause, but we also welcome big-time prayer as well! I cannot thank you enough for your support!
Love, peace and safety to all!
