Support John and the kids through the loss of Amy Morris

On February 6th, 2025, my brother's wife, Amy Morris, was diagnosed with inoperable, terminal colon cancer, a devastating and unexpected turn in the life of someone who brought so much joy and warmth to everyone around her, especially my brother John and their two children, ages 15 & 17. At the time of her diagnosis, the cancer had already spread to her liver.

Doctors made every attempt to treat the disease, including a genetic analysis of the cancer in order to find the chemo options with the best chances of slowing the progress of the disease. The genetic analysis was not covered by insurance, plus there are extensive co-pay and medical expenses that already exceed $8,000, and those are all from ancillary services, since the bill from the Cancer Center hasn't even been received yet.

On Monday morning, April 21st, the doctors informed John & Amy that her treatments were having no impact on the cancer, and it had continued to spread aggressively. She was placed in hospice/end-of-life comfort care. On Saturday afternoon, April 26th, Amy passed. At Amy & John's request, the final respects will be paid privately.

I'm reaching out to friends, family, and strangers who may have the resources to help support John and the kids financially through this unfathomable turn in their lives. Any and all support would make a huge difference in helping them to focus on helping each other through this loss of an amazing wife and mother. I would be deeply grateful to anyone that could help alleviate some of the financial strain that this has placed on their family.
