Aid Joey Grisanti in Restoring His Life Post-Flood

my name is Beth, my nephew lives in Asheville NC. his name is Joey Grisanti, veteran of the US NAVY. September 27, 2024, Joeys' life changed in an instant. Swannanoa River ran behind the building in which Joey lives. Police came thru the area yesterday with strict evacuation instructions for everyone who lived in the building to leave immediately that the river was rising and severe flooding in the area was increasing at an alarming rate. Joey, like all the others grabbed what they could and ran from the building. Joey had his car nearby, unfortunately the traffic was overwhelming with the rushing waters beginning to surround everything. Joey had to make an immediate plan to get to a safer location, but slowly became almost impossible. By the grace of God, Joey had friends not far from where he was that lived on higher ground. by the time Joey arrived at the couples home, signals from the cell towers were failing, rushing waters rising higher and higher.

The building where Joey had lived was now underwater. Communication was lost yesterday early evening by cell phone. All night Joey's mom waited for a call that he had made it to his friend's home and was safe. Today, 9/28/24, Joey called his mom with limited service and said "I am safe".

Joey has lost almost everything he has accumulated over the many years. Joey has been a service to his community in Asheville helping with the homeless, spreading the word of God while he himself learning everyday how precious life is and being a Christian is the true meaning of loving and helping our fellow man.
