Aid Joe Susebery in Rebuilding His Life

Hello members of the community and friends, this GoFundMe is for Joe Susebery and has been set up by his family to raise funds for him after his life belongings and house were lost in a fire.

For those who do not know him, Joe Suseberry is a 89-year-old, kind, loving, veteran who has medical conditions, difficulties walking, and is the patriarch of his family. He is known around Caldwell Texas as Mr. Joe or dad Joe even though he only has one biological daughter. In March 2025 his house burned down in Caldwell, Texas, and he lost everything to the fire. He lost family photos that are irreplaceable, all his clothes, furniture, home appliances, and most important of all, his house where he has lived for close to 20 years. As of right now, he does not have much clothes, including suits for church, and he is lacking toiletries.

His insurance will cover some of his house being rebuilt, but they are only paying him what the house was worth when he first bought it. To get a house rebuilt, it will cost upwards of $50,000 due to an increase in material costs. We are seeking to raise only half of that to help rebuild his house and also for him to refurnish it, and to replace his clothes and other personal items he lost to the fire.

He enjoys living out in the country in the peace and quiet, surrounded by nature with his dog, and would like to continue living there until God calls him home. He always lends a helping hand to others, even if that is giving someone a ride or allowing them shelter under his roof. In this time of need, he needs a helping hand and we ask that you please donate to get his house rebuilt, refurnished, and personal items including clothes and shoes replaced.
