Aid Jim's Fight for Health and Stability

Hello. To start, this is the hardest thing I have ever written. My name is Kathy and I am needing to raise money for my brother, Jim Hubbard. I wish I could say he ran into a burning building to save a kitten or something else heroic that he ended up in the intensive care unit two weeks ago, but that is not the case. Jim is a fun-loving, life of the party type guy and unfortunately an alcoholic. The morning September 3rd, he drove himself to Urgent Care because of extreme stomach pain. They transferred him to the emergency room and ultimately the intensive care unit. He was placed on a ventilator because of acute pancreatitis, pneumonia and several other issues. He was not expected to survive but he has defied the odds and continues to get better each day. That being said, as he is unaware of all that is happening around him, I am overwhelmed. Besides the mounting medical bills, I am worried about keeping up with Jim's day-to-day expenses. I don't want him to get evicted while he is hospitalized, I also need to pay his medical insurance, credit card, utilities and care for his two cats, Ed and Penny. My goal is to assure he is not behind with his monthly obligations when he is finally able to get back to his job, his life and a new beginning in a few months. If you are able to help, I would be very grateful. Those of you who know us, know this has been a struggle for many years, and I am so hopeful this the start of something big for Jim. Thanks.
