Aid Jim and Rachel Bessette in Their Time of Need

I’m writing on behalf of some of the best people I know—Jim and Rachel Bessette. I met Rachel almost 10 years ago through a Facebook group for bereaved parents as we both had recently lost our twin girls. I’ve watched them survive loss and live to raise three beautiful and sweet children. Rach and Jim have always been a source of positivity and unwavering support throughout life's challenges.

Now, I ask that we surround them with love and support in this latest challenge. Jim has been diagnosed with a glioblastoma, an aggressive and fast-growing brain cancer. Jim has proven to be a fighter, surpassing all the doctors' expectations. However, soon we will be faced with a life without his laughter in it.

We can’t change the diagnosis or the outcome, but we can come together to support Rachel and Jim through the weeks and months ahead. Since the diagnosis, Jim has undergone surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and hospice care.

I am reaching out to our community of family, friends, and kind-hearted strangers to ask for assistance in covering medical expenses, the expenses that will come with end-of-life decisions, and to give time for Rachel to be home to grieve and care for her children then the time comes. Your support will help provide them with the best care possible and give them these last few months to be together as a whole family.
