Aid Jessie and Willow in Their Fight for Health
Donation protected
Hey everyone! My name is Sam & if you are just simply taking the time to read this, that means the world to us!
I am making this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend, the most kind, selfless, funny, radiantly beautiful person I’ve ever had the pleasure to know.
Jessie is 36, she has two kids, Constantine who is 6 & baby Willow who is 1.
Shortly after Willow was born, within three months, she began having pretty severe seizures. Like 11 in an hour time span. Smaller ones which weren’t noticeable happening 20-30 times throughout the night and then larger ones that were debilitating, leading to ambulance rides and lots of hospital stays. Lots of stress was to follow. After many tests, we found out Willow has Tuberous Sclerosis, which is pretty much a bunch of benign tumors all over—her brain, heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, behind her eyes & eventually on her skin. This condition inevitably causes these seizures & she can have one at any given time, even with the slightest increase in body temperature. On top of that, she was diagnosed with a rare condition called anal stenosis, which is extremely uncomfortable & painful & led to a procedure which only mildly helped.
During all the stress with baby Willow, Jess discovered a lump on her right breast. These lumps were initially brushed off as clogs or cysts due to the milk she was producing after having a baby. Jess was experiencing pain that was shooting from her breast throughout her whole body & decided she wanted it looked into further. Sadly, after a mammogram, ultrasound, MRI & a biopsy, we learned that she had invasive ductal carcinoma. Breast cancer at just 36 years old while already going through so much with her baby girl. What we initially thought was an easy fix, seeing as we were told it hadn’t spread, we were just expecting a singular mastectomy with no chemo or radiation. We were hopeful & had all our faith in her team of doctors & the Lord. While she was getting her surgery, they removed 12 lymph nodes & if I am correct, 7 of them came back positive for cancer. So what we thought was small, wasn’t so small.
Extensive chemo for 12 weeks biweekly, followed by another 12 weeks of a lesser chemo weekly & then radiation.
Jessie has begun losing her hair within the last 2 weeks & as you can imagine, this time has been extremely hard for her & everyone around her. Jessie is also in recovery & refused all opioid pain relief even after chemo, which has proven to be extremely painful! She is so strong & graceful throughout this whole thing. Again, I am just so proud to even know her.
I come to you all today to ask for help to lessen this burden on her family. Her spouse is currently the only one working & because of Jessie’s cancer & Willow’s frequent hospital stays, he has had to miss more & more work & it’s really taking a toll on them on top of everything they are already experiencing.
Anything helps! No matter how small! Everything counts! & if you cannot donate, please find it in your heart to share this post & say a prayer for my best friend!
Thank you all so much!
