Aid Jennifer Reed's Recovery and Family Support

My mother is an amazing woman. Jennifer Reed, the parent of my teenage brother Taigo and myself, was a world traveling, dual-degree wielding, single mother, personal trainer and artist. Due to a devastating event on October 8, 2024, all of our lives have suddenly and permanently altered.

This past year, my mom was recently diagnosed with two degenerative neurological disorders, right cerebellum ischemia; a condition where blood flow is restricted to the brain causing brain cell death, and functional neurological disorder. Accompanied by these diagnosis, my mom was also informed of a previously untreated heart attack. The decline of her health has been very sudden, and difficult for her and all of us.

On October 8, my mom had an extremely intense episode of seizures and full body paralysis. She was rushed to the hospital for life saving care. As a result of this life changing event, my mother was further diagnosed with Dystonia, another neurological disorder inducing involuntary bodily movements and paralysis in her body and throat, which greatly affects her ability to walk, talk and function. Her career in personal training and means of income are completely destroyed after this inconceivable event, leaving my mother permanently disabled and leaving me and Taigo to pick up the pieces of the life my mom worked so hard to build for us. 

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to foot the cost of my mother’s medical bills, to support her and my brother Taigo’s survival, and aid in the cost of rent and in-home care for her. I cannot emphasize how much support means to our family right now.

My mom is my entire world. Saving her life, means saving mine.
