Aid Jen With Vet Bills In Attempt To Save Her Cat, Kannon

my name is jen. i need help with vet bills for my diabetic cat.

i have a cat named kannon, he was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and at the time it wasn't severe enough to put him on insulin - the vet said we could try to change his diet and go from there. he's been doing fine for months, awaiting a recheck. and then on sunday (today is wednesday) he quit eating and became very lethargic. i took him to my regular vet, they started him on insulin and he got his first dose yesterday afternoon. they told me if after his second dose this morning he still didn't eat, to bring him back in. unfortunately that was the case.

the vet today told me he is in diabetic ketoacidosis, and if left untreated he wouldn't survive. treatment would need around the clock care, so they referred me to a 24hour emergency clinic. even though i am already struggling, i could never just leave him to die because i didn't know how i could afford care.

the estimate was $6500.

whether you're an animal lover or not, i hope you can find it in your heart to donate anything you can to help with kannon's care, to make sure he comes back to me healthy and happy and feeling good. and if you're not able to help, at least sharing this with those who might

i would be eternally grateful for any help in saving my cat's life. i had to put my dog of 14.5 years to sleep last year and i can't go through that again this soon.

UPDATE ;

i went to visit him at the hospital on friday and he ate for me for the first time since the previous sunday. i went up to see him again later that evening and he had a lot more energy and alertness. the doctors felt with that progress, they were comfortable sending him home, and he came home with me saturday afternoon, where he then went back to not eating and acting lethargic

he passed away overnight that saturday, less than 24 hours after bringing him home with a lot of hope. i found him on my kitchen floor sunday morning.

the vet bills totaled over $8000, and didn't even save his life
