Aid Jeff's Rehab and Recovery

I’ve created this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend, Jeffrey Miller. Jeff has been through a whirlwind over the past six months, and he'll need some help as he works his way

back to normalcy.

Jeff's story. Jeff had been dealing with paralyzing head pressure for months prior to being diagnosed with having a tumor in his brain. This was early September, 2024 Despite the September

diagnosis, Jeff did not have his surgery until January, 2025. Between those dates his pain increased despite having a shunt implanted in his skull. Jeff is not a fan of doctors, but even he was excited for surgery by the time

the date came around.

Initially, it was all good news. Successful removal of the

majority of the tumor after a 12 hour surgery.

Unfortunately, the complications came quickly thereafter. Jeff's vocal cords and swallowing nerves were damaged during the surgery. This resulted in fluid being sent down the wrong tubes, which resulted in Jeff's first round of pneumonia. They also found a blood clot at this time, but

could not prescribe blood thinners so close to his surgery. As time went on, there were continued complications with

Jeff's breathing, resulting in another round of pneumonia. It got to the point where the doctor's felt it was necessary

to perform a tracheostomy. This was his status for weeks. Bed ridden in the ICU, with a breathing tube and feeding

tube to keep him company.

I'm glad to say that Jeff is out of the ICU, and is now receiving physical and vocal therapy at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. His sights are on the only thing he has wanted from day 1; to go home, and be with his wife and children. Hopefully, he'll be there soon enough.

Unfortunately Jeff's journey will not end there. He will need continued therapy as he regains his strength. There is also the financial burden that awaits him. Not just medical bills, but the standard expenses that life demands. This is the reason for my writing. Jeff has been out of work for two months, and there's no telling when/if he'll be back. This GoFundMe was created to help keep Jeff and his family afloat as they work through these difficult times.

I've known Jeff for over 20 years, and I can testify that he would do anything and everything he could to help someone in need. I know this because he has been there during my times of need. I ask you to help any way you can. No donation is too small, and you'd be helping a good person out of the worst situation of his life. Thank you all for tolerating my excessive writing, and for
