Aid Jeff Blackwell’s Journey ❤️

Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother, Jeff Blackwell. He has fought a lung condition for the better part of 30 years. He refused disability as a young man and has fought this condition all of his adult life while continuing to work. Due to complications affecting daily routines, the condition was found to be advancing, which resulted in a deformed heart and extensive lung damage. He eventually found himself at a crossroad due to the extended long-term damage and was directed to a corrective surgery opportunity at Duke University. His surgery took place on November 5th, 2024, with a predicted hospital stay of 11 days. Unfortunately, due to the finding of additional lung damage and multiple other complications, the estimated hospital stay has been extended to 2 months. This experience has been life-altering for him and the family, leaving him and them with an immediate change from a typical blue-collar family man to disabled. The extended families are struggling to meet the mounting expenses to continue with typical life on the home front with 2 kids and the medical field.
The current medical update as of November 15th for Jeff is that he has been under sedation from the onset of surgery and potential kidney damage with some hopes of dialysis as an answer. We obviously are hoping and praying for a full recovery and appreciate anything you can do during this unfortunate time. He is a warrior!
We are immensely grateful for any help that you can provide, whether through donations or simply keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion, and generosity. We will continue to share updates on their progress and the impact of your support.
With sincere gratitude,
The Blackwell Family
