Janice was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer this past March, 2024. Since then, so many friends and family have asked how they can help support her through this fight.

I am setting up this page to provide some ways for you to help through donations of gift cards and more.

A little about Janice....

Janice has always been strong-willed; passionate about friends, family and her work - and mostly, always, a little stubborn :-) Luckily, those traits will help her as she goes through these challenging times ahead.

Janice is a self-employed realtor. She left the restaurant industry in 2019 after more than 30 years and dove head first into her new career. From the first day, she knew she would love being a realtor - always excited to help someone buy their next home or sell a property to move on to new and exciting things. Busting her butt for 5 years - she was beginning to show success as a realtor, but then life threw her for a loop.... our amazing mother died, unexpectedly; then some back issues started progressing resulting in spinal surgery.

And then in late February of this year, she found a lump. 3 weeks later, the diagnosis was confirmed and we began to strategize her treatment: six rounds of brutal chemo > surgery > radiation > then seven more months of antibody therapy... or more.

Chemo has been extremely hard on Janice. As a self-employed realtor, she has to work to make money. Due to harsh stomach issues and extreme fatigue, she has been unable to handle her normal workload. Her husband, Chris - also self-employed who works mostly out of town - has had to cut back on jobs to be here in Richmond for Janice. Yet the bills continue to come.

I have personal watched her pay $800 for an MRI mammogram copay (and she needs multiple more), $120 for lab draw copays (which happen almost weekly), $80 copay for this doctor's visit, $80 for that. The list goes on.

Cancer not only sucks - but it is crazy expensive!
