Aid James's Recovery from Severe Burns

This fundraiser is to support our friend James, who had an accident and ended up with 3rd degree burns on his arms, chest, and face. Although he does have medical benefits, the deductible is $8,500 for 2024 and $8,500 for 2025. We are trying to cover those costs as well as help with his monthly bills. In addition, we are trying to get a nest egg to cover anything that comes up that insurance will not pay for.

What Happened:

He had a paint can explode in front of him, and the aerosol paint somehow caught fire. We do not know how or why it ignited. The paint that covered him engulfed him in flame. He dropped and rolled, opened the warehouse door, got to a hose, and doused himself. He then put the fire out, got into his truck, and drove himself to the hospital. Amazingly, he has been in the hospital recovering for eight weeks and has had 19 surgeries, cleaning, repairing, and stripping his legs to graft that skin onto the injured areas. There is still a very long way to go. This has been an overwhelming experience with no foundation to draw from, yet James refuses to give up so far. We just want to make sure his life survives financially to return to. Thank you all for any help you can give.
