Aid James O'Malley's Family in This Tough Time
Donation protected
Some of you may have met and remember James O’Malley through me. He has been my best friend since I was 16, and from that moment on, I became a part of his family. I’ve watched his kids grow, and he’s been by my side through so many major chapters of my life.
About 15 years ago, James’s kidneys failed, and he received a transplant that gave him a new lease on life for about a decade. Unfortunately, that kidney eventually reached the end of its journey, and for the past four years, James has endured tri-weekly dialysis and countless challenges. Now, he has reached a point where nothing is providing relief. After a long and courageous fight, James and his family have made the difficult decision to focus on comfort and quality of life with the support of hospice care.
If you knew James, you know the kind of person he is—hilariously funny, effortlessly lighthearted, and always able to bring levity to any room. He is kind, accepting, and the type of friend who truly listens, offering warmth and support to anyone who needs it. An incredible musician, guitarist, and songwriter, James shared his talent with the world through his band, Yellowgrass. To which was filled with band members that were also very close friends that shared his love of music. More than anything, James is a friend for life—once you had him in your corner, he was there forever.
Right now, his family could use any support as they navigate this heartbreaking time. Any help—whether through donations, sharing this fundraiser, or simply keeping them in your thoughts—is deeply appreciated. Thank you for being a part of James’s story.
