Aid James Carlson's Journey to Health

Hello Everyone,

I'm Lorraine Carlson, the wife of James Carlson. I am setting up the GoFundMe to help James and me with the unexpected medical, household, and other bills we are acquiring due to the medical emergency that fell upon James.

On January 1, 2025, Jim and I rang in the new year with him having several strokes and a seizure. We will be getting only a portion of his pay, but that won't cover the bills and rent. Once Jim is released from Abbott Northwestern Hospital, he will be transferred to an outsourcing rehab center. There he will receive OT, PT, and speech therapy. Once he can come home, he will continue with therapy but also needs surgery on his esophagus. He was found to have a condition called Achalasia, where the food can't pass to your stomach due to being blocked. Only 1 in 100,000 people get this. This means his time out of work is a great deal longer.
