Aid Jade's Family: Mavrick's Medical Journey

I am creating this account for my sister, Jade. Her son, Mavrick was born in July, diagnosed with a severe, rare form of Cystic Fibrosis. This was unexpected and has been hard mentally, physically and financially for their family. She hasn’t been able to rerurn to work because his care is around the clock. He was life flighted 2 weeks ago from Dothan to Children’s in Bham. Released on Halloween and readmitted to Southeast in Dothan on Saturday. He may be sent back to Children’s today if his breathing cannot be stabilized. They are running test to figure out how to feed him safely because his coughing makes him at risk for aspiration. Jade has 3 other small children at home. Gunner(2 years old) cannot attend daycare at a discounted cost anymore since Jade is no longer employed there. They live 3 hours from us. Billy and I drove there Friday to keep Mavrick and Gunner so Jade could go with her 5 year old to the pumpkin patch. She hadn’t seen her momma in almost 2 weeks. Bri is having a hard time with the separation. Taking care of Mavrick and Gunner was a busy few hours for Billy and I. We did have Max with us because he was having seizures earlier that day and couldn’t attend the school field trip. But I don’t know how Jade has been managing this for 4 months now even with Gunner being in preschool. I am asking anyone felt led to help raise money for Gunner to stay in preK so his daddy can work his normal hours and Jade can be with Mavrick during the hospital stays, doctor appointments and home caring for him without worry for the next couple of months. Keeping Gunners normal routine. He is a busy, active boy and taking him to doctor appointments and just sitting home while Jade is constantly attending to Mavrick will be tough on Gunner. Also, I would like to catch up her car payment and pay ahead as far as possible to help ease the worry of that bill. Protecting her credit she has worked so hard to build up. Jade has applied for disability for Mavrick and also for a program that pays you to care for your disabled child. The program said there is a year wait list. SSDI is still working on Mavricks disability and hasn’t given her a date on when it will be approved or denied. A few specific prayers are for Mavrick to get a care plan that can be done at home. Safely. That SSDI is approved asap. That personal choices expedites Mavricks application for services and Jade can get 80 hours of paid care for him. And for my nieces and nephew who miss their momma being home with them. If you have read this far, thank you! Our family appreciates everything and everyone who has helped already! Mavrick has pancreatitis, a complication from his rare form of cystic fibrosis. He cannot have anything to eat by mouth until his enzymes level out. He will have a G/Jtube placed in the morning so his feeds will bypass the stomach, avoiding more risk to his pancreas. Thank you to everyone who has helped in anyway!
