Help Fund Heni Ónodi's Medical Journey
Donation protected
Henrietta Ónodi, known to her friends and family as Heni, had a massive heart attack on March 28, 2024 at only 49 years old. While grocery shopping she suddenly collapsed, EMS arrived and Heni was immediately taken to the hospital. On the way, her heart stopped multiple times and thankfully they were able to resuscitate her. Once she arrived at the hospital it was discovered she had almost complete blockage of her arteries. Heni underwent immediate surgery to save her life. Unfortunately, while she was being revived she suffered an extended period of time without oxygen traveling to her brain. Heni has now been diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.
Heni is currently still in the hospital and her condition will require long-term care and extensive rehabilitation to help her regain her health. Her current insurance is not providing enough for all the care she will need.
If you didn't know Heni is a Hungarian National Hero, Gold and Silver Olympic Medalist in gymnastics! Winning gold and silver at the Olympics in 1992!! Heni has three beautiful children, Annabella, Christian, and Sebastian, who desperately miss their mom being home. Her partner, Christa, has been at her bedside since day one and is trying to provide the best she can for the love of her life.
This life altering event has been incredibly challenging for Heni and her family, both emotionally and financially. We are raising funds to help cover Heni's medical expenses, including hospital bills, rehabilitation, home healthcare, medications, and any other costs associated with her recovery. One of our goals is also to get Heni to Brooks Rehabilitation, which is one of the leading rehab centers for brain injuries. Brooks costs over $2,000.00 a day, and her insurance will not cover it. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and positive thoughts during this very difficult time.
Please share even if you are not in the position to donate!
