Help Heather Fight Cancer—Again

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out on behalf of Heather, a resilient woman who has faced more challenges than most could imagine—and now, she needs your help.

Heather has lived with chronic migraines since the age of five. In recent years, she’s battled level 3 melanoma, endured three surgeries, and received treatment at the UC San Francisco Cancer Clinic. In 2019, she underwent an emergency hysterectomy, and just a year later—on June 26, 2020—her life changed forever in a near-fatal car accident that left her with severe injuries. Heather had to relearn how to walk. An ischemic retinal stroke then followed in February 2024.

Now, still disabled and still healing from her car accident, with daily migraines, in a heartbreaking turn of events, on June 13, 2025, Heather was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive and complex forms of breast cancer.

Her treatment plan includes:

A year of chemotherapy

Radiation therapy

Followed by either a lumpectomy or a double mastectomy

Testing is still underway, and many unknowns remain.

Heather lives in Big Sur with her loving husband and devoted mother. Unfortunately, their situation is complicated by financial and logistical challenges:

All three of their vehicles are currently non-functional

Heather’s mother will need to take time off work without pay to become her full-time caregiver, while her husband goes to work in town and will not be able to take time off work.

They are doing everything they can to stay strong, but they cannot do this alone.

We are asking for your support to help cover:

Medical and travel expenses for ongoing cancer treatment

Vehicle repairs to attend critical appointments

Living expenses while her mother takes unpaid leave to care for her
