Guy Scata suffered a stroke while playing pickleball on April 16th. Thanks to the quick actions of the community, he was safely taken to Temecula Valley Hospital, where doctors removed a blood clot in his brain within hours. He's now on the road to recovery—regaining strength and speech, with his spirit and character fully intact.
From his daughter, Alex:
My dad is in need of intensive physical, occupational, speech, and swallow therapy over an extended period. As a self-employed individual, he’s navigating recovery while also managing medical expenses. While setting a financial goal feels a bit awkward, any support truly makes a difference. Our hope is to see him back on the pickleball court doing what he loves. Thank you so much for your prayers and support!
I’ve learned through friends and family that if you donate through Venmo on GoFundMe they will take up to a 30% admin fee.
