Aid Greg's Battle with Cancer and Violated Custody Agreement

Thank you for visiting our page. We appreciate the investment of your time!

Please take a moment to meet my dear friend Greg Rodee:

Greg is a 32-year-old single father to his five-year-old autistic son. Subsequent to a stage 3 colorectal cancer diagnosis (tumor growth, colon almost exploded, near death, etc) in April, Greg had 16 inches of his colon and a few lymph nodes removed in May. These circumstances required him to request a leave of absence. While it was granted - securing future employment - he will not receive compensation during his absence. This has created a pile of debt that seems unsurmountable. Greg is experiencing residual attacks of anxiety, panic, painful flare ups, and stress in his body while fighting this cancer, preventing it from returning, and prolonging his recovery. The inability to honor his commitments further adds to his stress and has created a never-ending cycle of stress which only exacerbates his condition. He, unfortunately, does not have an idea when he'll be able to return to work and is currently awaiting blood tests to see if it has spread.

Greg is concurrently fighting a legal battle in which the custody agreement/bridge order currently in place and his rights have been violated. It is concerning the all but unlawful taking and placement of his son. Prior to this Greg was a full-time parent with primary custody, care, and physical placement of his son whom he has not seen since he dropped him off with his mother in February for their monthly visit. He has legal fees abound and is continuing to accrue bills due to medical therapies to prevent the cancer from returning. Even after finding out about him having cancer in May, her family has decided to pursue him for child support. Further adding to the stress in his life. He doesn't like asking for help, but he is in way over his head. It has been a season of compounding challenges, too much for any one person to handle alone. For this reason, we are humbly calling on the community, friends, anyone to surround Greg in support and help contribute towards his medical bills, legal debt, and living expenses as he continues to exhaust his own resources and energy getting his son back. Any assistance in this tumultuous time is greatly appreciated and will be received with deep and sincere gratitude.

It is difficult to be vulnerable enough to ask for help for any reason. To have to ask for help from strangers is far more humbling than asking for help from family and friends. Anyone who knows Greg personally or has had the pleasure of meeting him over the years, knows how big his heart is and that he jumps at the chance to be there for others and help anyway he can. From his nonprofit to his everyday life, his focus is always on how to make the world a better place. Please understand how dire this situation is for us to request assistance from anyone who reads this. No amount is too small and will be deeply appreciated. Anything earned and above what we are aiming to reach will go directly to assist Greg with maintaining a minimal lifestyle for himself and his son until he is able to return to work full time.

Again, thank you for taking the time to read this and for your consideration for the matter at hand.
