My dear husband, Gregory Martin, has been diagnosed with stage 4 recurrent prostate cancer. The medications on his treatment plan are already making him sick. He begins chemo in November, which will leave him unable to work his part-time job. We both receive social security benefits, and his part-time work helps supplement our household income. Additionally, I am ferrying him to and from appointments as well as our son to and from school, and our daughter to and from work. I am unable to handle it all, find time to cook, and manage money for gas, groceries, bills—the list goes on.
