Dear friends, neighbors, and cherished customers,
After ten wonderful years in business and five unforgettable years in our 9th & 9th brick-and-mortar location, we are officially closing our doors.
As many of you already know, my health has taken a significant turn these past few months. After much reflection, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to step away from the bakery to focus fully on my well-being and healing.
This bakery has never just been a business. It has been a place of warmth, connection, and joy. From the first early-morning croissants to the last baguette of the day, it has been an honor to serve you. The support, love, and kindness our customers have shown over the years has meant everything. We’ve shared so many smiles, conversations, and comforting moments, and I will forever be grateful for that.
Closing a small business, especially one built from the ground up, carries more than emotional weight. There are financial responsibilities that don’t simply disappear. While I wish I didn’t have to ask, several of you have kindly offered to help during this difficult transition, so I’ve created this GoFundMe to provide a way for anyone who feels moved to support us at Granary as we close this chapter.
Funds raised will go toward:
* Final payroll support for our incredible and hardworking team
* Settling outstanding bills and expenses from the business
* Helping us all transition into the next chapter with a little less burden
Whether you’re able to give or simply share this with others, please know that I am deeply grateful. Thank you for being part of our story, and for continuing to hold us in your thoughts as we navigate what comes next.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Selma Palad
