On August 25,2025 my sweet 12 year old daughter Grace was involved in an ATV accident. To make it as short and sweet as possible, the quad was going too fast and got too close to the side of the road and she was sucked into a deep, thorny ditch and flipped the quad. She has been hospitalized with a duodenal bleed, severe concussion, and a bruised liver and pancreas. The internal bleed has stopped but it has formed a duodenal wall hematoma and is obstructing her small intestine. She has had to have a pic line placed in order to receive nutrition and cannot eat solid food. The doctors have discussed a nasogastric feeding tube but have not come to a definitive decision. We are currently waiting to see if her body will start to heal on its own or if surgical intervention is needed. I am asking for help when I am the kind of person who would go without in order to help someone and refuse to ask for help for myself, but this time my daughter needs help. I cannot leave the hospital knowing my baby needs me. This means I am unable to go to work, which in turn means we will soon be behind on our bills. My husband is at home with our other children trying to manage everything there on his own and because of that he is also unable to leave home for work. I am not asking for much, just enough to get us through this. Anything will help.
