Eric Kaufman here, friend to our very own Gordon Chase. Everyone that knows Gordon has experienced his love for community, health, fitness, and friendships. Gordon has served his country with pride, run marathons, triathlons, and even was a master's competitor at the CrossFit Games. The past few years you probably have run into Gordon hiking, playing pickleball, working out at a local CrossFit gym, or maybe even doing your landscaping! For those not previously aware, Gordon had been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease but was able to keep the disease managed for a long time partially because of his lifetime dedication to health and fitness. Unfortunately, his Parkinson's has progressed to the point where he can no longer work, and with mounting medical bills and therapies and the upcoming summer heat, things are getting a very tough.

Gordon has been working the past few years with the VA to receive disability, but we all know how long it can take the government to help a veteran out, so he just can't count on receiving these funds anytime soon.

We have started this GoFundMe to help Gordon transition to the next phase of his amazing life. We all know how brutal Arizona summers are for those who live here, but for Gordon, Parkinson's makes summers even more problematic physically and neurologically. Gordon's plan will be to relocate to South Carolina before summer to live closer to his sister and try to have the best quality of life possible while managing the disease.

Every bit you can donate will help our friend relocate to a more hospitable environment, continue receiving medical treatments and try to improve his quality of life as best as possible.
