Please help Gilbert Legaspi and his family through a difficult time.

Reaching out for help is never easy, but sometimes life's challenges leave us with no other choice. This fund is to raise money for Gilbert Legaspi, the owner and head coach of SHAC (Swim Houston Aquatic Club).

Due to complications from diabetes and a massive skin infection, Gilbert has been hospitalized for close to 6 weeks in Houston. His family is hoping for him to be released within the next week, and they are preparing his home for his return. He and his family have accrued a mountain of medical expenses that they have not even begun to realize. Additionally, Gilbert will need certain equipment and dietary assistance as well as in-home medical care three times a week once he is home.

All funds raised will go to Gilbert and Karol to help pay for their medical expenses as well as medical equipment necessary once Gilbert returns home. Additionally, we would like to help them with purchasing gift cards to Wal-Mart to help with meals and dietary assistance.

Gilbert and his wife, Karol, have been a part of Gulf Swimming for more than 30 years. They have coached hundreds of swimmers—not only on their own club teams of Houston Swim Club and SHAC but also on Gulf Zones, All-Star, and other teams.

Your help, no matter how small, would mean the world to Gilbert and his family and allow him to focus on healing.
