Aid for Wyatt Barneys parents during his fight for recovery

Donation protected
On Saturday around 2 a.m., my nephew Wyatt Barney went to the ER with severe stomach pain. Initially, they thought it was just a stomach bug and sent him home. However, once home, blood was noticed in his feeding tube, and he began passing out. He was rushed back to the ER, where they discovered he had sepsis and dangerously low blood pressure. He was life-flighted to Spokane for emergency surgery.

During the surgery, they found that his small intestines were tangled and being strangulated. Thankfully, they were able to untangle them. Wyatt has been sedated since and recently underwent a second surgery to assess the condition of his intestines. The situation is looking much better than when he first arrived at the hospital, but he’s still not completely out of the woods.

Wyatt will need to stay in the hospital for about another month and will require at least three more surgeries. As you can imagine, the bills are piling up for Jolinda and Jed. We are asking for support to help keep them afloat so they can stay by Wyatt’s side during this difficult time.

We will keep you updated as we learn more. Thank you for your generosity and for sharing this fundraiser during such a scary journey.
