On December 23rd, my wife was admitted to the hospital. At that time, it was discovered that her liver had failed on top of her already failed kidney. After a couple of weeks, she was transported to DC to finally begin her transplant journey. Not long after that, a match was found for both a kidney and a liver. She has been having complications post-surgery. Nothing major, but still enough to continue her stay in the hospital.
Through all of this process, I have been taking care of the normal day-to-day operations like food, school, and bills for myself and our kids. I have also continued working my full-time job. After my wife is given the ability to come home, I will still need to take her to frequent doctor's appointments twice a week for some time. I unfortunately live paycheck to paycheck, and driving from Martinsburg to DC and back takes a fair amount of money that I do not have. I normally don't ask for anything, but I would like to give my wife her best chance for success while not taking away from my kids. If anyone is willing to help us out, I would be greatly appreciative. I'm even willing to help out with house chores or heavy lifting. Thank you in advance.
