Aid for Whisper's Urgent Health Need

Hello, my name is Katherine and I am kindly asking for help for my senior cat, Whisper. Yesterday morning, I noticed she did not eat her breakfast. She LOVES her breakfast, and food in general, and I noticed her posturing to go but it just was not coming out. And after feeling her belly and realizing how tight it was, I decided to take her to my work at a veterinary clinic.

It was then found out that she was extremely constipated and unable to pass her stools. A radiograph showed her colon was extremely enlarged and trailed almost all through her body filled with compacted stool. I decided with the doctor to have her stay overnight and receive periodic enemas in the hopes it’ll flush and soften the back up in her colon. Unfortunately however this did not work, as even with the 3 enemas she received the compaction was still to dry and too wide to pass normally.

It was decided today we needed to deobstipate her, meaning the doctor would manually remove her stool and “pull” it out. It wasn’t an easy procedure, prior to my adoption of her she had suffered a pelvic fracture a few years ago, and while it healed okay it made her ability to pass stools harder since it had slightly narrowed the passageway for her to go.

She’s going to be able to come home with me tonight, but after all of this said and done, and even with my employee discount here, I am looking at a bill of $1022.90.

Money that unfortunately, I don’t have. In between my other bills and recently taking her in for bloodwork and wellness exam, this is not an easy sum for me at all.

I am begging for any help possible to help me cover this bill. An additional 278 is for any possible recheck in the future and prescription diet needed for her, like Hills GI Biome or I/D Digestive Care.

I am please asking for any kindness available to please help me take care of Ms. Whisper and hopefully prevent this from happening to her again.
