Aid for Wesley's Sr's Funeral and expenses

Unfortunatly on 11/3/24 just before 6pm Dad lost his battle with cancer. Some of you asked how you can help so I'm updating the gofundme to cover final expenses, debt, and home repairs required to sell it. if somehow there is extra left over it will likely go to an account to care for his grandson Johnathan Simmers who is nonverbal autistic. Hi all, my family and I don't like to ask for anything, but Dad, Wesley Simmers Sr., has stage 4 small cell sarcoma cancer. It started in his lungs and liver and has now spread to his brain. After every chemo treatment, he has ended up in the hospital for a week or more, and this time it's been almost 3 weeks. He has chosen to spend his remaining days at home, but the VA isn't covering a lot of stuff because he is only 40% disabled but should be 100%. I filed to get that fixed, but it will take months, and he likely doesn't have that kind of time. So this is to cover his nurse expenses, house loan, fixes and repairs to the house, cleaning, and memorial expenses.

My younger sister has taken on a lot of the day-to-day care, but she's also caring for her autistic son and will need to take him to appointments and such and doesn't want to leave Dad home without a caregiver. If he does go to a nursing home, it will cost more than $3k a month; in-home nurses run about $180 a day. If you are able to contribute, it will be a great relief knowing Dad will get the care he needs in his final days.
