Support for jeffery's family after Vinton double homicide!
Donation protected
As many of you have heard in recent news, the son of our dear family friend, Jeffrey Alan Catron, 31, of Bedford County, was one of two men murdered by Jordan Daniel Pierce yesterday evening, March 3rd, while accompanying his fiancé to a custody exchange at the safe zone at the Vinton Police Department. This horrific event sent shock waves through our community, and amongst those most deeply affected are Jeffrey's mother, Billie Jo Watts, and stepfather, Joseph Watts. They have received the news no parent can fathom ever having to bear as police officers approached their house in swiftly moving vehicles late Sunday night.
We choose not to remember Jeffrey for the way in which he passed, but instead for the way in which he lived his life—as a loving son, middle sibling of four, and beloved fiancé. Jeffrey graduated from Staunton River, enjoyed his work at RCI, and loved the great outdoors. & spending time with his family. Jeffery still had his whole life in front of him and the best was still to come!
We are asking for donations for his family during this exceptionally difficult time as they prepare to make funeral arrangements amid devastating tragedy. This sudden loss has shaken Jeffrey's entire family to the core. We would like to help support them in their time of grief and join together as a community to relieve them of the further hardship of expenses so that they may focus on giving Jeffrey the memorial he deserves.
Thank you for your support and continued prayers for everyone impacted by an event that transformed their lives forever. We wish them comfort in Jeffrey's memory in the days and weeks ahead.
