Hello, my name is Dilaaniy Kannapiran. A recently qualified doctor from Kings’ College London.

 

As many of you may be aware, the political and economic situation in Sri Lanka is dire. This is largest economic crises seen in decades and it’s impact is starving the country of the most basic medical amenities. I was blessed enough to work at the Vavuniya District Hospital earlier this year with the most dedicated and hardworking teams. Their resilience even earlier this year astounded me but now i cannot imagine the pressures and hardships they are facing.

 

The wonderful doctors of Vavuniya DGH are now having to seek support and donations themselves as the government is in no fit state for frankly anything at this current time.

 

I am asking my friends, family and further to donate as much or little as you can to also support this cause.
