Aid for Toria and Tania's Family After Tragic Loss
Donation protected

My mom, Toria Singleton, was an educator and worked in Cashion, Tempe, and Avondale for 40 years. She taught 6th grade ESL and 2nd grade in later years in Cashion, AZ for 23 years and taught three generations of students. She loved teaching; her students were her 'kids,' and she nurtured them. I recall my mom staying up at night making jambalaya in a huge CrockPot for her students who couldn't afford to eat school lunch, and buying school supplies for them, as well as decorative name tags for their desks. She had a beautiful soul, a huge heart, and believed education was important for every student. She was heartbroken when she had to retire early in 2009 due to illness. My mother earned her administrative degree two years prior to retirement in 2007, in hopes of becoming a principal in a local school. She loved her family and took care of her brother, as well as Tania when they were children and as adults. Whatever they needed, whether it was an outlet to vent, or anything else, she was always there for them. Her kindness knew no bounds.
My mom was the ultimate mom, chaperoning all of my elementary school trips and high school trips. She became a band booster from 2000-2004 and treasurer in 2003 at Agua Fria High School. She bought little medals for my clarinet section when we earned a superior with distinction at a state marching band competition. She supported me in all my endeavors and all I did in high school and worked three jobs. My mother was an amazing woman. I called her a badass because she was. And she was my hero.
My aunt was the protector of the family. She helped take care of my grandparents, my mother and I. She worked in banking all across the West Valley and Central Phoenix for 20 years. She loved her golden retriever Lenny Kravitz, and tuxedo cat Mikey. She was the cool aunt and loved her goddaughter, nieces, nephew and friends. Her greatest accomplishment was graduating with her MBA. I remember how proud she was of her business cards on her desk at work. My heart hurts everytime I see her chair at dialysis and don't see her there, or feel her tap my shoulder telling me she's going home to check on my mom. The day she passed truly a piece of my soul went with her. And watching my mother cry was indescribable. I find peace knowing they're together now.
I know she was tired though. She was sick. My aunt and I helped take care of her for 15 years. She fought as long as she could. But the loss of her sister and my Aunt Tania was too much for her to bear. And now I'm faced with the deaths of my mother and aunt, having to take on the financial burden of losing them so close together (my aunt passed February 28th, 2025, and my mother, March 14th, 2025). I'm trying to be strong for them both, and lay them to rest. Anything you're able to give is appreciated. Thank you.
Funds will be used for the cremation process, personalized urns, and interring their ashes for their final wish of being with my grandparents. The cremation is over 2,000 dollars for both my mom and Aunt Tania. The urns are 200 dollars for each. I will update when I get the price of interning their ashes. I have been busy organizing everything and cleaning.
Thank you
