Aid for Toni, Joseph, and Natalia's Fire Loss
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
My name is Erin Hinojos, & My Aunt Toni & Uncle Joseph tragically lost their house to the Eaton fire last week on January 8th, and my Aunt Natalia's house down the street was severely damaged and she can no longer live in it.
Their lives were forever changed when the Eaton Fire swept through their neighborhood in Altadena. Tragically, their family home—filled with a lifetime of memories—was completely destroyed. I've been visiting that house myself since I can remember, with endless memories of staying there and looking out over the sweeping views of Los Angeles. Natalia's house, full of a lifetime of photos, keepsakes, rare artwork and personal items was damaged beyond repair by the smoke and chemicals from the surrounding structures burning to the ground. Natalia's house was traditionally the meeting spot for my entire family in Los Angeles during Day of the Dead, many wonderful gatherings were had at her house and we can no longer celebrate there due to the damage.
We are obviously grateful beyond words that everyone made it out safely, but we are now faced with the overwhelming task of picking up the pieces and figuring out what is next for Toni, Natalia & Joseph. They lost not only their homes, but also all of their belongings, including essentials like clothing, furniture, and cherished keepsakes.
I am humbly asking for your support, to help my dear Aunties & Uncle. Your contributions will go toward unexpected costs such as replacing basic necessities like clothing & groceries, and helping them all get back on their feet and feel whole again.
We know times are tough for many, and any amount you can give will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, we’d deeply appreciate it if you could share our story with others.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers as we work to heal and move forward.
