Many of you know my dear friends, Janet Robbe and Bob Robbe. They are going through something that no parent should ever have to endure-the loss of a child.

Their 14 year old daughter, Charleigh, was first hospitalized last September with Bacterial Pneumonia. During the hospitalization she developed a pressure sore on the back side of her hip. She went back into the hospital in November for Osteomyelitis (bone infection), where the doctors confirmed the infection to be MRSA. Charleigh was sent home with antibiotics and scheduled appointments to the Wound Care team. In December, Janet and Bob realized they were fighting a wound that would not heal and the best course of action was to remove the top of her femur to create area for new healthy tissue to grow, and to close the open wound on her hip. This seemed to help until February, where since then she has been hospitalized 3 more times to get the infection under control.

On April 25th she was back in the hospital, and the doctors told Janet and Bob that there was nothing more they could do for Charleigh. They were sustaining her on IV antibiotics and nutrition because her body would no longer absorb these things necessary to survive. On April 27th the doctors recommended for Hospice; and entered into their care on May 1st.

On top of not being able to work during this difficult time, they also have 3 other children that need their support and a funeral to plan and pay for. I am asking you to please consider helping Janet and Bob with the financial burden they are facing; this is the last thing they should have to think about while spending final moments with Charleigh.
