Aid for The Geisbrechts After Fatal Train Accident

Donation protected
On the afternoon of April 29, 2021 My best friend Dyneshia Geishbrecht and her Mother Deanna McBurnie were in a fatal train collision near Medicine Hat. Fortunately Dyneshia survived the accident but sadly her mother Deanna and faithful family Companion Maddy did not. Dyneshia was rushed to hospital where she was then flown to Calgary to receive emergent medical attention. Dyneshia has suffered from numerous broken bones including her arm, pelvis, femur and multiple ribs that required immediate surgery. Dyneshia's road to recovery will be extensive in more ways than one. Losing her bestfriend and mom will surely be the most difficult of her recoveries.

Dyneshia is only  one of Deanna's three Children left to remember her legacy. Deanna also leaves behind her husband Rob Geisbrecht, who now will be the primary caregiver to all 3 of their children including her brothers Kegan and Ledger. Ledger was also recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the young age of 12. This family has been through hardship after hardship but none so great as losing their mother/wife whom they all consider to be the "rock" of the family.

Covid restrictions make it difficult for the family to visit or support Dyneshia while she recovers in Calgary. Her father Rob is now left solely to balance between visiting and caring for her siblings at home. Rob has been suffering with physical impairments leaving him unable to work over the past year. He was to undergo a surgery of his own but has now had to postpone to help his family and daughter heal.

The Geisbrecht/McBurnie Family is left remembering that tragic day and the beautiful lives left behind.  As the family prepares to say goodbye and come to terms with the long road of recovery ahead I am hoping to raise  money to offset some of the financial burdens that are sure to arise at this time. I am asking anyone that can help in these trying times to please donate so that we can help the family with  unexpected medical and funeral expenses.  Any funds raised will go toward respite services, medical supplies and other aids to support the family as they try to return to some kind of normal.

*Dyneshia, we are praying for you and hope you can come home to us soon. I love you like a sister and loved your mother like my second. You will always be my family. My mom and myself promise to be here for you, support you in all the ways while you try to heal from your broken heart*  Love you always Neshia.
