Aid for the DiStefano Family

Hi all!

I am Hannah Huson, a friend of Amelia DiStefano. Early this morning, July 4, Amelia and her family woke to every parent’s nightmare: their home, filled with 40 years of memories, destroyed in a fire. She, her husband, and three boys lost everything. Amelia grew up in this house. Thankfully, Amelia, her husband, and their boys are safe, but they are devastated and need our help.

They lost two dogs, Blair and Birdie, a cat, peachicks and a bearded dragon. There are some pets still missing. Three dogs did make it out, and are recovering, though one almost did not. Amelia asks for prayers for her boys and animals. I ask you to include her and her husband Daren too.

Amelia is a true testament to the title horse woman. She is a farrier that also boards and rehabilitates at her home, offering one of the only track based systems in Michigan. She educates and inspires others more than anyone else I know. I can’t tell you how many she has given the opportunity to ride with her! Her home is open for multiple educational clinics each year.

Amelia is an outstanding mom and friend. She has a huge heart and does so much for others.

They are in desperate need of a new well, as there are still many animals on the property. Right now they have a tank and will continue to haul in water. It’s a hard but hopefully short term solution!
